Having studied piano for many more years than I care to remember, I was fortunate at last to discover Elizabeth as a piano coach. We have worked together for nearly ten years.

With her cheerful manner and incredible bag of tricks, she has guided me through the bumpy yet necessary road to extricating myself from many years of bad habits which resulted in hand injuries of long standing.

She clearly imparts her expertise in methods which are novel and effective. These include choosing pieces which match the interests of her students, tailoring hand positions and fingering choices to each individual thus avoiding injury, providing time and energy saving strategies and procedures which lead to success and generally being a student's most supportive cheerleader.

Elizabeth's lessons offer joy in accomplishment, and best of all for me, delightful duet opportunities with a warm, caring, and accomplished teacher. I only wish I might have had instruction such as she offers much earlier in my lifetime.

Elizabeth is teaching four of our children. She is an excellent piano teacher as well as a wonderful person! She has a gift for showing kindness to each child as an individual and recognizing effective ways to interact with them to encourage their progress. All four of our children, who are unique in personality and at different levels in their playing, have excelled with her. She is thoughtful in her preparation for each lesson, and often recommends music that the children will enjoy playing. I've watched my children grow in their abilities to play the piano as well as increase their love for music. Elizabeth is completely reliable and easy to communicate with. She is truly a blessing and we would highly recommend her!

My son has been going to Ms. Elizabeth Brown for piano lessons since he was 6yo. Since he was young when he started, I really did my research in order to find a teacher who's patient, kind and encouraging. Elizabeth is all of that, and more. She's also super talented and energetic. It's been over a year since my son started, and he's still excited about going to class every week and "showing off" his skills to Elizabeth. We loved Elizabeth so much that I started my daughter with her as well, even though she's only 5. In fact, my daughter kept asking me to start piano lessons as she sees how much fun my son's having! We could not be happier with Elizabeth, and would highly recommend her to anyone who's looking for a piano teacher.

After a more than 20 year break from the piano, I lucked out with finding such an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive teacher. Elizabeth's helped me learn and re-learn technical and foundational skills, gain a deeper understanding of piano styles and interpretation, and find new pieces to love. My confidence and appreciation for the piano has grown tremendously over the last two years. Anyone would benefit from having her as a teacher!
